Im having trouble figuring this whole site thing out and seeing what's current and who's responded to whose questions so I'll just ask my own. pardon if they're repeats.
I'm having all the same problems with the ring, I've tried Ortho tri-Lo and it made me so sick to my stomach I couldnt function. I get the dryness, discharge, pain during intercourse, but most of all, my drive is SEVERELY decreased. Basically, it seems as if these are common, anyone know is this THAT common, is it really acceptable, is the patch any better, or what can I do to help ANY OR ALL of these symptoms?????

I started using the ring 7/06 and in August I started seeing a cardiologist because I thought I was having a heart attack. I told him I was using the ring and he dismissed it. I too am having 85% of all listed side effects and last week wound up in the hospital. I stoped using the ring as soon as we figured out that I was not going crazy and there was something wrong. It is a shame because it helped so much with the problems I was having. I hope there is another way we can control our girl issues without almost dying.

i started the ring as a last resort of birth control..when i asked about side effects it was stated the people dont normally have any....since ive used it i have migrains one after another that where interfearing with my everyday life......not only that my visions would go here and there..since i stopped using it my life is back to normal and no problems since...

i have to say that when i went to the doctor and explained my lifestyle to her, she told me she refused to write me any other prescription than for the nuva ring. she said it was the only form that would suit my lifestyle...needless to say she was right. but on the other hand, it totally is not worth it. i started the ring november 12th and my periods are normally only 5 days and the first 4 are heavy. for the first 1-3 days i have severe cramping. the nuva ring eliminated the cramps, lightened my cycle, but lengthened it to a full 7 days. after that i just kept bleeding off and on until my total days reached 12! it was ridiculous and scary. after it finally ended, i still had random bleeding up until i removed the ring. my boyfriend and i also found that getting me to have orgasms is virtually impossible. i NEVER had a problem before and they went from powerful to almost unnoticeable...my boyfriend didnt even know i ever had 1! on top of that ive had severe headaches on the left side of my head, front to back, forcing me to stop my day. in all honesty, for as convenient as this ring may be, i wont suggest it to anyone. my boyfriend and i decided tonight that it was officially going to be removed. we're done using it, and im looking into the pill.
