» trevi02 - Nuva Ring and BV

Has anyone experienced any increased risk of getting bacterial vaginosis while on nuva ring. I also had the same problems when I was on the OrthoEvra patch and I am trying to figure out the cause. It seems to never go away completely and i have slight pain with intercourse. Im wondering if switching to pills would do any justice. Please help

oh my gosh, yes yes yes. i dont know if this is worth responding to so late in the year, but i am having your same exact problem minus the pain during intercourse. This is my 3rd time within 1 month getting treated for bacterial vaginitis, its ridiculous, its embarrassing, and it stinks. My doctor doesnt beleive that its the nuva ring thats causing it but i know it is. I have never had any experience like this before. Tomorrow i willhave to go in again to get treated. Are u taking anything else, i just didnt want the hassle of taking pills again. i used to take the patch but that made me really sick and i was getting all types of pains in my legs. i just took my ring out saturday and im not getting a refill.
any advice would be great, i hope the bv goes away

I was just advised by my doc to take it out and it was only the first ring. i did not get bv but did get very bad yeast that was so irritating. if you are getting recurring bv infections, after you stop the ring. your partner should be treated because he can have one. this is the worse thing i could have done to myself.
